Nik Huber will be glad to build your personal, customized Dolphin, Orca or Telphin.
A number of options are available on request:
- Finishes: specific colours, varnishes, matte or high gloss finishes, metallic, etc
- Woods: Nik has some pretty amazing classic tonewoods to choose from. Eastern maple tops? Flamed mahogany? Burled Redwood?… Let yourself be surprised
- Nut width: if you know what you like, just let us know…
- Neck profile: idem – from skinny to fat, all is possible
- Want jumbo frets, or do you fret if they’re not vintage? Call your shots here
- Inlays: design your own, or ask Nik to come up with an original design. By the way, Nikl, the inlay specialist, is schooling in jewelry production…
- Other nice touches: flamed maple neck binding, wood knobs, engraved backplates, aged parts, semihollow bodies, custom f-holes… Other ideas? Please do ask!
Note: scale length is not modifiable. Nik has the last word in terms of wood combinations or overall finishes.
Building process.
Drop me a line and we’ll discuss the preliminary details. Once we’ve defined the basics, Nik will be involved, sending pics and offering the last bits of advice.
Once the deposit (30% of the total cost) has been received, the building process will start. Expect 20 weeks to completion; during this time Nik will be in contact with in-progress pictures and/or personal comments.
Finished instruments must be paid in full before they ship out of Rodgau.
